So, if you’ve seen the movie mall cop, you know that the main character has a disorder called hypoglycemia. He needs sugar to keep going throughout the day, it even helps him bust the bad guys.

Around October I started posting about my chest pain. I had to go to the ER because it had gotten so bad.
On top of the chest pain, I had nausea, dizzy spells, weakness, anxiety, and I would feel tired for no reason.

My mom diagnosed it as hypoglycemia about a week after my ER visit. This month (on my birthday no less) we went to the doctor to get an actual diagnosis.

The doctor pinned it as hypoglycemia as soon as I started telling her about my symptoms. She also said that it’s why I’m so skinny, I don’t eat enough to keep up with my metabolism. I am supposed to eat 6 medium meals a day (because I’m skinny) and I have to keep sugar candy and food bars in my purse at all times.
When my levels drop I will get the symptoms I’m used to, but she said to be careful because those symptoms are warnings, next would be blacking out. Next my heart could stop.

That almost freaked me out, but mostly I was excited to eat everything in sight and blame it on the doctor’s orders. ;)
